Workshop App | A collaborative service design and UX/UI Project
Brief
The workshop app was the result of a service design project that asked us to design induction experiences for 1st year students at Cardiff School of Art & Design (CSAD).
Solution
We identified an opportunity for change regarding workshop inductions at CSAD. Our proposed idea was an app that would support students through their workshop inductions via video tutorials and supporting quizzes. After successful completion of each induction, the app would keep a digital record to allow them use on certain machinery. The app also included other features that students said would be useful such as a feature that allowed the user to check machine availability and book them out, a directory of staff and technical demonstrators plus a skill share gallery.
