Addressing dementia through disrupted imagery
Brief
Count Your Blessings was the outcome to a brief that allowed me to explore storytelling. I needed to produce an experimental graphic novel through a connected sequence of images.
Solution
Count Your Blessings explores the themes of memory loss and dementia through the use of personal family photographs.
Changes in opacity, combined with the use of blurring, presents the impermanence of memories and provides the reader with a sense of what it might be like experience dementia.
